BALLBUSTERS was
a major public relations event funded by the
Billiard Congress of
America
and supported by industry sponsors. Attendees thought they were in an upscale
sports/billiard room, as they got “up close and personal” with
billiard pros for challenges, autographs and photos, plus won prizes and giveaways.
The Ultimate Pool Party
was hosted by Mitch & Ewa Laurance, featuring 12 top billiard pros
in an 8-Ball Team playoff taped for broadcast on ESPN.

Pearson was successful in his attempt break his own record
of potting 15 balls on two side-by-side tables. Pearson bested his
own record by 7 seconds; his previous time was 8 minutes, 58 seconds -
his new feat was timed at 8:51!
"The Ginger Wizard"
started playing pool when he was 19, running six balls the first time he
picked up a cue. He later went on to win tournaments across the globe,
but his talent evolved into entertaining millions as the top exhibition

Demonstrations
NWPA President
Jeff Dolezal teamed up with one of the top female wheelchair players,
Hydred Makabali,
to demonstrate how to play in a seated position using cue extensions and
bridges. They also took on able bodied challengers
throughout the afternoon.
Academy
of American
Cue Art A special exhibit of one-of-a-kind
custom cue art was on display,
with items ranging in value from $1,000 to $100,000.
