| :: HOW SWEET THEY WERE |
BCA Certified Instructor Steve Jennings
... was caught with his hand in the cookie jar over the holidays — but it was putting them in! For their holiday greetings, Sterling Gaming baked and packaged over 21,600 cookies this year. According to Scott Taylor, "we basically had four ovens doing three dozen each, going non-stop for two weeks, including weekends. I guess we averaged 8-10 hours of baking a day."
This photo of Steve appears on the CueSight.com website, with the caption: "Looks like Steve is on cookie duty. Hopefully, he has baked more than he has eaten. During Christmas, the entire office smells of delicious Sugar, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin and Chocolate Chip cookies. That is the best way to get people up and going in the morning."

LILLIS TAPPED FOR ALBANIAN ACADEMY START UP... Steve Lillis, of Gospel Trick Shot Ministries Inc. was invited to Tirana, Albania by the Albanian Billiard Federation to help open their new billiard academy, January 9-11. Joining Steve was professional artistic pool player Marcel Kaiser of Germany and 22 year old Canadian 9-Ball player Christian Coffey, along with photojournalists Tony Anthony Jr. and Scott Pruikma.
The GTS Team worked with Christian Farmers International to teach farming techniques to the needy Albanians, who are trying very hard to adopt capitalism and democracy and enter the European Union. All the villages and towns throughout Albania have "bilardo" rooms and they love their national indoor sport! Each of the three day's sessions was broadcast on Tele Sports Albania TV. |
|
Lillis did a Gospel Trick Shot Tour of Albania two years ago and introduced artistic pool/trick shots not seen before, partly due to the fact that Albanians play with a radically undersized cue ball and standard 2 1/4 inch object balls. The standard Albanian pool table is also only 4 x 8 feet with small square pockets which make shots down the rails extremely difficult. [ more ] |
