Summer 2006 - Colorado Springs,
Colorado:
Major pool league
seasons closed with a series of
championship events, played out primarily in Las Vegas
throughout May and June.
The BCA Pool Leagues
8-Ball Nationals and
EnjoyPool.com 9-Ball Championships were held
concurrently in Las Vegas in mid-May [ see final
results:
8-Ball |
9-Ball ].
The
Junior & Collegiate 9-Ball Championships
capped a 16-week spring qualifying series for BCA Junior
Billiard members, at the University of Arizona in Tucson in
July. The event names winners in four age divisions, plus offers
an Artistic National titles and recognizes "All American"
student athletes.
Even earlier in Las Vegas, the American Pool
Players Association [APA] held its
National Singles Championships April
27-29, then followed up with Team Championships in August.
A fourth large
contingent - the Valley National 8-Ball League
Association [VNEA]
- marked its 26th anniversary at the International
Championships at the Riviera in Las Vegas in late
May. |
